Three teams winning Energy Hackathon organized at the initiative of SOCAR AQS and Texas A&M University participated in the virtual stage of Invent for the Planet 2020 competition on February 14-16, 2020. The teams continuously worked 48 hour on a problem given at the start of the hackathon and offered their own solutions
Participants of the virtual competition first competed in Energy Hackathon held on February 7-9, 2020, with the joint initiative of the SOCAR AQS and Texas A&M University and with the support of the Innoland Incubation and Accreditation Center. The teams presented creative solutions and prototypes regarding specific energy problems. 10 teams consisting of Bachelor and Master’s degree students from various universities competed in the project dedicated to solution of sustainable society and global energy problems. “Deep Divers” team representing French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ), E-zone” team representing Baku Engineering University and “Amirli” team representing Baku branch of Moscow State University obtained right to participate in the virtual stage of Invent for the Planet 2020 competition as winners of the Energy Hackathon.
The winner of the virtual competition will get the opportunity to represent Azerbaijan in the final stage of Invent for the Planet competition, which will be held in Texas, USA on March 30 – April 2.
All the expenses for participation in the competition will be covered by SOCAR AQS. As a result of this competition, innovative solutions can be developed further to an international startup project.
